As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing valuable insights to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve financial discrepancies and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation for audits and liaise with auditors as needed.
- Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and accounting standards, ensuring OQPI’s financial practices remain in compliance.
- Participate in the development and implementation of internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Provide support to the finance team with ad-hoc projects and analyses as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Accountant, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- CPA or other relevant certification is a plus.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
